ANNOUNCEMENT
Probus Creative Housewares and Probus Mayfair have been acquired by Fackelmann GmbH, the German based international housewares manufacturer.
With a turnover in excess of £150m, The Fackelmann Group has over 20 offices and factories worldwide and employs over 1600 people. Through its global network, Fackelmann supplies virtually all of the major housewares retailers in Europe - including Wal-Mart, Tesco,
Carrefour, Metro, Real, Intermarche, Spar and Casino.
This is an exciting and positive move for Probus. The additional resource and investment this brings will allow us to develop and grow the Probus brand in the UK and abroad. With access to the extensive range of Fackelmann products and services, this will allow us to offer our customers far greater choice, in terms of range, price and brand options.
The new company will be called Probus Creative Housewares Ltd. and has relocated to accommodate the planned integration and expansion.
